Best Method To Clean Exterior Brick?
I have an 80 year old brick house and the brick is dirty in many places, especially the flat, horizontal window ledges. The brick is ribbed which makes cleaning it harder since there is dirt in the little grooves. So far I’ve tried power-washing (no cleanser, just water) and it had no effect.
Any suggestions? Thank you.

You could try a solution of TSP (any good paint/hardware store should have it) and bleach. Apply with a long handle scrub brush and a lot of elbow grease and rinse with a pressure washer. Try a small section first and make sure to cover your flowers/bushes etc. It may be your "dirt" is mold/mildew; if it is the TSP/bleach solution should take care of it. If that fails you could try a muriatic acid water solution but I'd consider that a last resort.
Caution, I have an 1915 brick home, was powerwashing , low pressure, washing away what I thought was mud. Ran into some soft mortar, dark, was washing it away.
Now I have to tuck point a few place, not all over, just in a few places where I felt water has ran down the wall.
