I want to get a “rewards” type CC for the business and use it to accumulate miles on the airlines.
Any experience? What’s the best one?
Thanks,
Pat

I have Capital One for a personal CC and used their MilesOne program to redeem miles for a trip to Europe. The great thing about it is that you can choose from any airline, rather than one like an airline branded CC. I almost fell off my chair when I was making reservations when the agent said "we have 3 different airlines leaving at various times, which would you like sir"!
Much more enjoyable experience than hearing "oh, I'm sorry, we don't have any frequent flyer seats on that flight..." 50 times when you're trying to use those airline miles!
We have a Chase business card with a milage plan. Like above we can fly any airline. The only negative I have found is at the rate of a free ticket you usually end up taking adjoining flights. Short layovers and still decent for free but usually a stop somewhere.
Each of my guys has a card and I have one. We usually charge 100k plus a year so I get a lot of miles. Last year we went to Hawaii and Tampa. This year we are heading to Seattle and probably Tampa again at Christmas. And my son will use a few tickets also. Really a great deal. DanT
I have had a Citibank AA Advantage card for at least 15 years and I LOVE
it. You do have to travel on American if they have a route to where youa re going but if they don't they have partenerships with some great airlines. I have flown to Singapore on Singapore Air, to London on British Air, and to Switzerland, Kenya and Hawawi on others.
ALso, in January, for $5.00 they give a an itemised list of all of my yearly purchases by catagory. It really helps me to do my taxes.Do remember, however that these ards are OLNY a bargin if you can pay them off every month, otherwise go for the lowest rate and you'll save enough for the ticket.Rusti
