Depends on if you are going to use this professionally or maybe once in a blue moon.
A 100.00 gets you almost a decent hand (not motorized) mitrebox.
I personally would get only a compound mitresaw. I do this everyday, and like the versatility a compound gives me in one package. I have a Hitachi 8'' and would like a 10 or maybe a 12 for what it can do. However, for daily use-the 8-1/4 is the ticket.
One that cuts well and holds a setting/square is worth it. One that loses settings/square, you might as well guess with a circular saw.
