This has probably been asked before but I thought I’d ask again.
If you could choose a nail gun just for cement siding, perhaps shooting stainless steel nails (ie are they available for this gun?) – what would it be?
Thanks
John

Hitachi nv65ah
Max CN565S. Light, and has great depth adjustment. Favorite gun in my stable.

Everything fits, until you put glue on it.
I have the Hitachi as well and think its a great gun.
Max here as well, but not their nails in stainless, they aren't.

Hi John,
I've got two of the Hitachi NV65's mentioned above, as well as two Bostitch N66C coil siding nailers. Amongst myself and the crew, the feeling is unanimous that the Bostitch is actually the better nailer. It's lighter, has a belt hook, jams less, and double fires less than the Hitachis. It's also not the least bit picky about using generic nails; which the Hitachi occasionally take issue with. And it's close to $100 cheaper which makes it a pretty easy choice for me. This is coming from a guy who loves Hitachi nailers... (4) stick framers, (3) coil framers, (2) siding nailers, (2) 15ga finish, (2) 16ga finish, and an 18ga brad nailer as best I can recall.
another vote for the bostich. I shoot stainless and galvinized for fiber siding. nice weight. few jams.
bostich N66....

Hilti is known for that move, they used to give away roto hammers if you bought 48 of their roto hammer bits.
Yeah I bet they are pricey.
I don't pay for this stuff------ man i love that union rule that all tools will be company supplied ;-)

I can borrow, but they belong to the company.
Hilti does give us some freebies for the crew for buying their products----- hats, mugs, shirts, laser range finders et al.
sorry to hear theoverflow doesn't come yur way...

Dad was a UAW worker. He hated to see the the stuff they threw in the dumpster. All kinds of tools and hardware that was excess got pitched as scrap, and no one was allowed to (legitimately) have any of it.
seen that process too..
it's enough to gieve ya...

If it's going to get thrown away then it's a free for all.
A lot of my tools are from employers that were junking the tool for various reasons.
Most just needed a simple, but thorough cleaning to work properly.
Some were broke, but have a lifetime warrenty that the employer doesn't want to deal with.
worked out on McDill AFB....
we use to raid the dumpsters... oh my the finds....
