Will cover a 750 ft2 deck next month with 3/4″ Ipe boards. Any recommendation for good quality saw blades to cut smoothly and minimize splintering for a 12″ DeWalt sliding compound miter saw and a Porter Cable 7 1/4″ circular saw? Thinking of a thin kerf 80 tooth for the 12″ and ~ 40 tooth for the smaller blade.
I’m not a carpenter, just a regular kind of weekend project guy who wants his Ipe to cut like butter and his deck to look good. On this note, is Forrest overkill? Has anyone had luck with 24 tooth 7 1/4″ blades that won’t splinter hardwood?
