I need to seal 2×6 pt plates to a concrete pad I am partial to geocel but are there better products for the job? The plates and walls are installed but the framer never sealed them to the pad so the sealant will be a bead on the outside of the plate not ideal but I cant lift the plates to seal them properly. Any better products or suggestions on how to keep water from running under the plate? The pad is monolithic and runs under the walls out into front and rear porchs and when it rains water is entering the building.

Copper flashing will out live any sealant.

I agree 100% but the slab is on grade and the outside and inside floors are one and the same so how does copper shed water away from the building if its the same surface. I can see it deflecting it on to a deck or away from a gable but the slab is monolithic and the walls are up and painted. Also the slab is poured poorly and the pitch is non exsitent and in some spots backwards wouldnt water just run back under the copper?
You need to ceate a Z somewhere. Out side, up the wall , bend at the plate/sill and down over the edge of the slab.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

I am patial to Geocel products for a lot of things too, but I tend to doubt you will have 100% succuss with this or any other product in dealing with your problem.
you have two great obstacles to surmount here. The first is bad design, in that the porches and the house floor are poured as one with each other and no break of any kind and no change in level.
That was compounded by a lazy framer using NO seal when an extremely high quality seal was necessary.
So a simple bead of caulk is not going to cover up for a series of bad mistakes previously.
A better bet would be to use a grinder to cut a slot in the crete at the base of the wall and fit metal flashing into that and under the siding and house wrap.

I'd use the sealant AND flashing. Also suggest they install perimater drainage topped with gravel.
