Best Way forThinset Removal on concrete floor
Its a basement floor in a small washroom. Iv’e been using a air hammer with floor scraper that I improvised on. It’s working but way too slow, there has to be a better way. Also it’s about 1/2 inch thick. I have 40 sq. ft. to do and I am 15% done. Any help would be much appreciated. Very 1st post.

Rent a floor grinder.
That seems extreme for such a small space, pics I've seen of them is that they are kind of big
That may be true. Maybe a 7" angle grinder with a diamond blade. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I've got 2 of them. And you need a really good dust mask.
There is no fast, easy way as you're finding out. We use small electric rotary hammers with the largest chisel blade we can find. We keep a bucket of water handy and keep the area we're working in wet. We sit on a 5 gallon bucket and brace the back of the rotary hammer against a knee and use our knee to push. Used to be on a good day I could do 500 sf
Thanks guys for your quick response, was very helpful. I did get it off with air hammer and chisel. Took a while but got it done. Also used the angle grinder with diamond wheel, made a dust shroud but it worked better than if I didn't. It made concrete floor smooth.
