BIG Hole Saw

Sphere | Posted in Photo Gallery on September 25, 2008 02:10am

We had a fun day, 4 6″ diameter core drills for power and 3 @ 10″ diameter for outdoor furnace H2O lines…

Actuallt shocked me how fast they could motor through the stone. The 10″ holes took less than 1/2 hour each.

18″ thick stone foundation..sorry about the pic quality it’s my fone, and I am still getting the hang of getting the pics to come out photo wise, AND off the mem card..damm technology is confusing.

I think his helper had a tuff night, hizazz was draggin..LOL

100.00$ an INCH. that 10'' is a grand, no clue what the motor costs. That was the first ele. coredrill I saw, most are hydraulically spun.

I got to VERY, VERY carefully layout the hole locations and attach the unistrut backing bar to the allthread thru bolt that the drill mounts with.

I got 1200 amps coming into two "Tubs" via the conduit and the tubs HAVE to be just dead on in the basemant, like 1/4" tolerance at most...then the water lines in the 10" holes I have plenty of room in the sleeve, but the septic stack was with in an inch ( all new cast iron) of where the hole was to be..can't drill a pilot from inside ( all the water would leak out of the core bit) and it was all measured from the center of the doorway.

We nailed it dead on with every hole..wwhheeww..Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

No, the diamond core saw is 100 bucks an inch..the cutter. That's what the operator told me.

Funny thing tho' , I was in my rental store just this am and saw a 10 core bit for 699.00..I shoulda bought it and sold it to him for a grand (G).Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Is this a  bed and breakfast conversion or a private home?

Thats a lot of amps for a single family dwelling.

SFD, yup, it IS alot. 20 tons of heat pump IIRC, amoung other stuff..and he is a nut, into serious overkill.

Has oil burner, has Ele Hot water, adding wood fired boiler, AND Geothermal.

I'm doing all the stripping, every one else that tried, gouged the hell outta the cypress woodwork, which I then had to fix. You ougtta see the parts that are done, it's pristine now.

Saved that area till after the trenching and stuff is done..I have about 140 windows on this house..9000 SQFT, 6 bedroom, 4.5 bath, and almost 100 yrs old.

It has a MICRO 2 gig memcard. I have an adapter to use the micro card in a regular size cameracard, but when I tried that and a cable to my LT, it said "No info on Mem card" so there is an issue with the adapter I think. SO I emailed it from my fone to my Laptop..I just barely get enough cell fone signal to do that.

I'll get a new adapter and try it again, I got 56 pics in the fone mem card and emailing them would get $$$ I think, the multimedia monthly package ( web on fone) is limited minutes, not like talk time.

It is kinda cool.. (G)Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

I got four 2gb micro Kingston sets with adapter on Woot.com the other day for something like $ 18 delivered.

I have a razr v3m and have not put in a card yet.

They are pretty cheap on e-bay too.

Might be able to bluetooth them to your computer if you have the right stuff.  Lot of the LT's will do it I think.  I got a "dongle for the desktop but somehow the software would not fly.  Above my level of knowledge at this point. For those who have fought for it Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

I'm goin to Pa. for the weekend and my cousin is there, she is saavy on all the new stuff, may borrow an adapter and try that..Mine seems to be not readable by the camera.

That or get a data cable to usb for the fone. That sounds easier for some reason.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

    Henley here,

That guy is hung over like no tomorrow!

Reminds me of this guy begging the boss to let him sleep in the truck
for just an hour and he would work the rest of the day for free.

No go with the boss by the way.
Made him run scrape paint all day.

It's pretty erratic there. While my "Job" is one of a Project Manager, the HO is the one that schedules and calls the shots, he insists he is NOT acting GC, and I ain't getting paid enough to call myself the GC..LOL So actually, we have no GC.

Today for example, I had 3 painters , 1 plasterer, 1 backhoe operator, 1 ele conduit gluer, and had to talk with the Geothermal driller..all while I melt off paint in my spare time.. And I am the "Carpenter" for all as well, the HO spent the better part of the day on the fone tracking down the best price for caulk..yup..he finally found it for 15Cents a tube less than the next guy and for 36 tubes was extremly proud of himself...arrghh.  Conduit gluer and hoe runner ran off at lunch to fix a cattle gate ( gluer rents pasture on the farm..3-400 head of grass farters) and never made it back by when I needed to leave at 330...

I am off till Tues. headed to PA in the am, we'll see what gets screwed up while I am gone, and I'll deal with it as it pops up.

I'll be posting things as they happen, even if it is haphazardly, when I remember or can get my head un curled from the chaos and procrastination while things get over engineered (G)Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks
