The local HD has both. Any opinions on which is better? I’mn leanig toward the P.C. They also have the Royobi for about half the price, but it seems like a real P.O.S. in comparison to the other two.
‘wanted an excuse to pick one of these up. ‘need to attach a bunch of jam extensions to some window and a sliding french door unit. I’m thinking the tool would be helpful with this, and the trim.

Barry- Always wanted one......Sure the Ryobi is a TPOS. If I were in the market I'd prob. give the PC the hardest look- gettin' tired of all these yellow tools. Plus, I beleive the PC will operate at more angles. -Ken
*Barry, I have the PC. the reason I bought it over the Default is because of the FF biscuit option. Hey one more option is worth it to me.
*I like the design of the PC better. I won't buy anyting from DeFault ever again. If it's yellow, it's probably crap. I shouldn't say that, I just hate their cordless drills. The new PC is a knock-off of the Lomello, which we all know, is the God of biscut jointers.Ed.
*Thanks all. Unfortunately, the Lomello has a heavenly price, too.I noticed the Face-frame biscuits as well; 'might come in handy. 'looks like the PC it is.
*I have them both. Actually, the dewalt is a lot closer to the Lamello than the P-C....rack and pinion fence height adjustment, can't remember what the PC has, but the Dewalt is better, also, smaller, lighter. Two things in favour of the PC; when setting the fence to an angle for a mitre, it bends both ways, if that makes sense....look at the literature, and you'll see what I mean. It also comes with a clear plastic plate that helps to deal with the fence falling off a anrrow piece of wood when you are biscuiting into the end of it. Both good ideas, that work. The small biscuit thing, on the other hand, is stupid. I can't think of a single place I would bother to use one.I think the Dewalt is a better machine, marginally, but the clear plate and the more flexible fence are very nice features on the PC. My Dewalt is several years old, runs like a champ. The PC is new.
*I have a Dewalt I'll sell you for 100 bucks, barely used, maybe 2 jugs of biscuits. I have a few jugs of biscuits I'll throw in with it. Hardy use it since I bought a Kreg jig and it just sits there under the bench.
*If you're serious, I'll send you a hundred bucks tomorrow. You pay the shipping?
*I'm serious, but buyer pays shipping. I'll take the time to box it all up and send it though, dieselpig. Shouldn't be more than 10.00 or 12.00 shipping, unless you live in Madagascar or something. Email me at [email protected] if you're interested.
*I live in Madagascar, and take great offense to your adding on extra shipping. Unless you meant it would be less, which I would expect.
*What, are you snowed in or something? Don't you have bathing suits to pack? Maybe some sun block?
*Yeah, and Mosquito dope.
*hehehehehehe

Jeff if your looking for a BJ and Blodgett already sold his (the greedy b.........d) (just funnin jim) then check out tool crib they got some refurbished ones at a pretty good price. If you want the PC be sure to get the type I, ( you'll probably have to get it refurbished or used) its the one with the fence that they copied from Default before they were sued for copyright infringement and had to make some changes to their fence. I heard the type II is pretty good also but dont know as I was fortunate to buy the typeI. I only really use it for glueing up panels and for small cab construction. I use my kreg jig for just about everythin else. Darkworksite4: When the job is to small for everyone else, Its just about right for me"
If I'm looking for a what???

I'm leaving! Jeff "That's like hypnotizing chickens........."

pc has a better fence. i have one and love it. the grip is also more comfortable
Dewalt has a fine fence. Handle fits me fine. Yellow color makes it easy to find since most of my tools are red or blue. No problems with it so far.
If you have bought or do buy the PC take the damn bolt off that holds the blade on and put some wax on the threads or some anti-seize compound on them and reinstall it.
Friday, after twisting the supplied hex wrench and two others, I went from machine shop to machine shop looking for someone to get the bolt out. Finally found a guy that wanted to fool with it. He finally got tired of fooling with it and looked at me and said "I'm gonna weld a nut to it. Is that ok?" I said yeah. He came back into the main room and gave me all the parts. I told him I needed the washer unwelded from the bolt. He fixed all the mess up for me and I was off to the hardware store to buy a new bolt. It cost me a total of $2 in gas for this mess.
You will not be so lucky.
By the way, Friday was also the same day I unpacked my first Makita tool, A RD1101 D-handled variable speed router. Bad to the bone.
I'm through with PC tools. Shop is full of them, but there will be no more.
Let me give you my address, and you can send me all of your PC tools. For that price (postage) I'm sure I can find something good :)
I have one of the few mistakes PC ever sold, their first generation biscuit joiner, the one wiht the belt drive and the big upright handle. It's a little underpowered, but the fence is an absolute piece of dog poo. I try not to use the fence anymore, I lay the wood face down on the table saw and use that to register the base of the BJ. Work ok as longs as that offset is what I need.
I think the other mistakes PC matrketed are the cordelss brad nailer and the cordless router.
