What unit??
It's a low-end IR thermometer
and might be useful it you're able to somehow mentally aggregate the data, and form a picture in your head of what the thermometer is seeing and what it means.
I prefer the the model that makes the picture for you.
If you're doing a significant weatherization project I would get an energy auditor to perform a blower door test and IR inspection.
I've got a little IR penlight thermometer my BIL gave me. It gives you a general idea as to where the leaks are, but is much more tedious to use than a photo-type unit.
