Blown in insulation walls of a 100 yr old stucco house
I’m looking to insulate my 100 hr old home that does not have any wall insulation with green fibre blown in cellulose insulation. In my research I have found that many recommend AGAINST doing this because of the strong possibility of the insulation becoming wet from condensation and/or leaks. I have renovated several rooms in the house where I have removed the plaster and did not find any evidence of water leaks. Should I insulate or not? I am re insulating my roof this year but wanted to know if I should do the walls as well.. Thanks in advance..

My parents insulated an old frame farmhouse about 50 years ago, using cellulose. They lived there for another 20 years or so, and there never was a problem with the insulation. Haven't been by recently, but last time I was about 15 years ago the house was still standing.
This is in Kentucky.
I guess there were no moisture problems (ie peeling exterior paint or interior paint) that you can remember.
The house (built ca 1900) had all sorts of problems, but I don't ever recall moisture on the inside walls or serious paint peeling, et al on the outside.
Great thanks Dan
