…or whatever they are called?
Does anyone use these for obtaining job? I have heard a few guys talk about the Blue Book in my area and apparently its a good source for them for big commercial gigs.
I am considering it but of course with anything like this, there is a hefty fee to become part of it.
Any thoughts?

Pretty sure Blue Book is free. At least I have never paid anything to them. And we are listed. Get request to bid occasinally. I know we listed for free.
Have you been on the site? I would poke around there

for reference
Scrapr,
I'll have to go look as I talked to someone who knew a Blue Book rep a while back and he kept "hinting" at rates and charges. Hmmmm?
Mike
...by the way I just went to the site and it looks like I can just request info right at it. Thanks!

We used them to bid truss jobs.
Most of the time one of our regular customers will ask us to bid something and give us a set of prints. We use the Dodge list to make sure we bid it to all of the GCs who bid the job.
Dodge usually announces the winning bidder, so the salesman can follow up on the quote after it's awarded.
