They've been spraying their roofs here for years. Might make them last longer.
I recently helped tear the shingles off an old one room schoolhouse. At some point, they had painted the asphalt shingles white.
I assume it was to make them last longer - It was slathered on pretty thick.
I remember advertisements for some kind of paint/coating; was supposed to give an old roof quite a few more years.
Thought it was just more snake oil.
