Hi everyone. Does anybody know of a good site or book for exterior trim
details for board and batten especially flashing details? There was a couple of FH articles that I have but not much in the flashing department. Thanks.

I'll bump this up to the top for you - I don't have a book or site, but quite a bit of experience with b&b - - most of the flashing issues involve the desire for horizontal trim elements above doors and windows - and I know of no way to effectively flash that situation - -
the answer is to eliminate the horizontal element - - stand a board up either side of the opening so you can bridge the gap between siding a frame with a batten - flash off the nailer above the opening, rip/space the board siding above opening to come out even across the width, terminating the board with a 45* cut to form a drip edge, holding the drip edge above the flashing, then batten the space, terminating the battens in a similar fashion (45* drip edge held high enough not to sit on the flashing - -
I have not had a much experience with B&B as David, but have done some. Fortunately the designs have called for a minimum of 30" of overhang less that a foot above the horizontal trim pieces. I've used metal z flashing over the window and door horizontal trim pieces, with roofing felt over with the B&B niled over the felt. To date no problems.

B&B has a rep of being a poor siding choice for anything other than a barn because about the only good flashing choice for hoizontal trim is a good caulk

Not only the barn, but they did the chicken coop too. Seems to me between the barn and the chicken coop, those are the only two buildings that never have required any maintance other than periodic oiling of the exterior.
