Livingroom.
(Sorry that first picture is a bit big.)
Kitchen and diningroom.
Beautiful! I love everything about it. I just finished repainting our kithcen/dining room in a color that's just about the same. Love the countertops too!
I love the granite countertops too.
Bob has a great granite connection, beautiful and cheap!
Here's a better look:
Very nice Darcy, I saw a lot of things that I was impressed with.
blueJust because you can, doesn't mean you should!
Warning! Be cautious when taking any framing advice from me. There are some in here who think I'm a hackmeister...they might be right! Of course, they might be wrong too!
I like it, I want one.
Very nice. You have the layout style and colors of the house I want to die in. Except I want brick.
Did you do any of the work? And are you guys gonna live in it?Free Sancho!
Bob built it for Handsome Dave, who owns a sportsman's store. It's Dave's bachelor pad (ha ha...manspace?).
No doubt, it will be filled with wildlife prints soon.
In order to stay on schedule, I did all the window casings, and Bob and I did the crown molding together. The trim guys finished everything else. Also, I have a little paint touch-up to do this week.
Yeah, I told Bob I want him to build that exact house for us! Pretty good last project for him as he now hangs up his toolbelt...
I love the shower, but it was hard to photograph.
Oops! I forgot one.
The trim tile in the master bath has sliced stones imbedded in them. They actually have a much richer look than the pictures show. So cool!
Very nice detail.Free Sancho!
Wow !!Watta shower !I want one just like it.I'm serious. How's next week for a starting date sound to you ?LOL
The person you offend today, may have been your best friend tomorrow It is easy to be friends with someone you always agree with.
what type tile are those in the shower
Actually, I'm not sure.
Too bad Bob just left for another week in Sacramento...I'll try to remember to ask him when he calls tonight.
I forgot the plan. Are you moving to Sacramento eventualy too?I dedicate this post to our brother in cell block ten. Long live Sancho!
Yeah, but probably not until the kids get out of school, at the end of May.
I already gave notice at the tool store. I know it will take them some time to find a replacement for me.<g>
Bob's new job is Quality Assurance (Professional Azz-Kicker) for the 149th largest builder in the nation. The company has him so teched-up (laptop, digital camera, voice recorder, fancy Nextel cell, palm pilot, fax, etc.) I think he needs me to be his assistant, don't you?
They haven't given him his truck yet, but I get his when they do. Yippee yahoo!
What was used to bed the sliced stone in the shower?
SanchoRon the caballero bowed low as he waved his sombrero and said goodbye.
FREE SANCHO!!!
The stones are part of the trim tile, the tile came with the stones in them.
Pretty cool, huh?
be interesting....
It's Dave's bachelor pad (ha ha...manspace?).
TV isn't big enough for a bachelor pad. They'll take away his guy card if there ain't a big screen in the basement ;)
Very comfortable looking place. I wouldn't mind living there, but we'd have to kick Dave out.

The reason so many people never get anywhere in life is because when opportunity knocks, they are out in the backyard looking for four-leaf clovers. -- Walter Percy Chrysler
The shower looks real nice but I don't know about standing by the "window".....why is it in that spot?
Just wondering.....
I was just starting to wonder how long you were going to last in sales rather than carpentry. Not to be mean, but anyone who packed her pouches with as much foresight would be frustrated trying to sell tools to weekend warriors who did not know what they needed but had the bucks to buy wants - yet could not figure out how to use the stuff never mind stretch the tools to their limits.Quality repairs for your home.

Huh?
Our store's clientel is comprised of:
85% Contractors and Builders
10% Woodworkers and Furniture Builders (who make their living that way)
5% Weekend Warriors
What's your problem? Find it hard to believe that I could have more than one talent?
geez...
Monotalented? Absolutely not.
From your earlier posts, you sounded extremely frustrated (going back months).
Someohw, the way I pictured with what and where you carefully packed your pouches, you would be happy as a clam in finishing work.

The windows are glass blocks. Both face the very private backyard.
Very nice!! I love the openness and the floors...
Thanks Carole,
Yes. Open, lots of light, nice flow...
The master bed/bath is cozy...
And this is a bachelor pad?? Oh, I wish I were a bachelorette again......My mind is giving me some strange images....<G>Seriously, it is nice......I don't much care for granite countertops, but then, maybe that's because I can't quite afford them.....:)
I'll try to get a picture of Dave-the-bachelor for you this week.<wink> His store is two dorrs down from my tool store.
Very, very nice! Thanks for sharing the pictures!
VIVA SANCHO RON!
How did you get the outlet boxes above the counter top to fall exaclty half on either side of the grout line for both outlets -- Luck? all the best Dudley
Good communication between the tile guys and the electricians.
"How did you get the outlet boxes above the counter top to fall exaclty half on either side of the grout line for both outlets -- Luck?"
Easiest way to get the boxes where you want them is to rough-in with just Romex whips sticking out of the wall at each proposed location. When the tile-setters come, they tile around the whips, leaving out the tiles where the outlet will go. They then cut those tiles to fit around a remodel box, and set them. The electrician then comes back, Roto-zips the drywall out, and sets the Romex into the boxes.
Bob
Very nice indeed.
