Got my energy audit the other day and #2 on my hit list (#1 is the Garage door) is to replace my natural gas fired hot water heater with a indirect water heater.
I received a pretty good quote from a local wholesale plumbing company for a “Bock SideKick” indirect coil tank heater and am wondering if anyone has one installed and how well it works. They appear from their literature to be a pretty good heater.
Thanks in advance.

Have had one in my house about 4 years, no complaints, have yet to run out of HW.
Thanks jayzog, appreciate the reply. I will probably go with this brand. Dealer seems fair and looks like a good unit. BTW did you plumb it with 1" or 3/4. I am planning on redoing my boiler piping anyway and getting rid of the old gate valves and installing ball valves.
I piped mine ¾".
The Bock is in my house, on jobs I have installed Amtrol's,Super-stors, Triangle tubes,WeilMclains,Peerless's, and the latest one is Vaughn. I have replaced a few Amtrols, and 2 Superstors, where the tanks leaked, all were under warranty.
They all seem to work well enough.
