It seems like there was an article about building a booth in a kitchen that had the critical dimensions like: angle of back, distance between booth seats, height off floor, etc. I’ve searched and can’t find. Am I dreaming? If so, anybody have info where I can find these specs?
Thanks, Bob

Based on my experience the most critical dimension is waist measurement.
There are various architectural standards books. Lee Valley published "Woodworker's Log Book" that has a section on these. Normally, dining chairs have seat height around 18" from the floor to the top of the seat.
Last night, I was reading about built-in benches on decks from FHB's "Porches, Decks, & Outbuildings." As a starting point, a typical bench has:
depth front to back 15"
seat angle 4 degrees front to back
back angle 10 degrees off plumb
seat back height 20"
A mock-up of scrap could be in order prior to committing to your project. Another option is to take a tape measure to your favorite pizza joint or restaurant supply house.

Go to Perkins and others and measure. Good part is a meal at the same time.
You'll find that in a book called Architectural Graphic Standards

yea there was in FHB its an article by the not so little house author woman um Sarah-Susan Susanka or something like that? It was good I used it to design the eat in booth at my current house. The booth will never get built now because we bought a new house.....
Someone posted a pdf of it do an advanced search for built-in banquet and it should turn up.

My Thanks to All, a lot of good feedback.
I purchased a used copy of Archtectual Standards from Amazon. I remember using this back (way back) in high school drafting.I also did the search of built-in banquet and came up with several pdf's of drawings. Exactly what I wanted. However, The homeowner decided against the booth - that's too bad, it would have looked great. Thanks again
