I’m wondering if I can borrow a floor sander for a couple of weeks. Any ideas where I can find one, or a website that might be of help? I live in Kentucky near Cincinnati.
Thanks for any help.

Borrow? or rent?
A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

Rent if neccesary, but borrow would be nice.
You'd better find someone that owes you a favor. Those machines are well over a thousand dollars and one misuse could pretty much #### them up. A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

Try Craig's List or something like that. No offense, but that's quite a request. I think you'd be pretty lucky if someone let you borrow one of those for a day.... never mind a 'couple weeks'.
Reminds me of the Craigslist ads that state " Looking for free lumber to build my deck..."Yea, well, you and me both (looking for something for nothing).Again, no offense, but if you need to sand your floors, then you'll need to have a sander, so rent one or buy one and then sell it afterwards.Although I'm sure the guy looking for free lumber may find a few sticks of it, it never ceases to amaze me how folks will try and make do instead of making it happen for themselves.(more a reference to some of the items wanted ads in Craigslist then a comment on his need for a free floor sander.)JT
I guess I should have been more specific in my original post. I was wondering more about organizations than individuals.
I have heard about tool libraries, and was wondering if anyone had info on that type of thing, or perhaps a swap for something. Thanks for the tip about Craig's list. I'll check it out.
