Up until about 6 months ago I was heading strong into purchasing the Bosch 4100-09 10″ table saw…then I heard about the bearing / wiring issue. Since then I was looking at a Makita until I understood that there is an issue with their fence and that the miter gauge slot is a non-standard size. Then I began looking at the DeWalt table saw. Now I am coming full circle back to the Bosch.
Before I unload my cash have you all seen any recent issues with the saw?
Thanks…

I have one of the original Bosch 10" saws
And am more than satisfied-but then aren't we all-we are never quick to admit defeat when we buy the stuff.
But, I have used it alot both on the job and in the shop and it has performed well.
I had a breakdown last summer-I'm supposing the same type of motor issue-the puff of smoke/run slow. My supplier repaired it for 75 bucks. No doubt a heck of a deal but we've been doing business for almost 40 yrs. Since then-the start sounds different but it cuts like b/4. The switch is a bit stiffer also. I don't know what this all means, but if I get another 6-7 yrs heavy use on it and then have to put 75.00 into it-I'll be ecstatic.
Bosch table saw.
I bought one a couple of years ago and it is great to have on the job. A bit heavy to load and unload yourself from
a truck of van, but it is worth it. Also there is saw dust even with a dust collection port connected, but I still think it is a great saw
to have on the job site, and every time I use it I'm glad I bought it. Also, I heard about the bearing and wiring issues in
an artical that I think was in FHB. The Bosch response was that the problems were corrected and that was prior
to when I got mine. I haven't had any issues with mine, knock on wood.
