Anybody have any experience withe the bosch PR006 underscribe plate for seaming laminate? I’m looking for a better way to make seams, my last couple of efforts with the straightedge mirror seaming methods have been less than outstanding. Thanks in advance for any info.

I have an underscribe base for my PC. Never used it. Thought that I heard these were a hassle because of chips getting under the plam.
I made a jig for my 'mirror' seaming that securely holds both sheets. Always great results.
I had not heard any prior feedback but that is one of my fears just looking at the picture. Incredibly though, my intuitions have been wrong before.Retired until my next job.
Interested in selling the PC underscribe base?Julian
Naw, gonna keep it just in case. It goes with the 7300 trimmer. Are these hard to get as a bare item? I rarely find any separate bases or accessories for my 310s, other than Betterly.
Boschcpo sells the underscribe pr006 base for $16 something and freight, also the round subbase, maybe some other options. Would still like to hear from someone who has tried the underscribe base for better or worse. Retired until my next job.
22 Years
I have had the Bosh underscriber for 22 years. I've used it about a dozen times on counter tops I've built durring that period. Never had a problem with it.
I cut my firts piece with a straight edge and glue it in place. Do not let the contact cement go beyond the edge to be seamed. Use blue tape to avoid that and then peel it off after the first piece is down, Lay down your second piece and clamp it in place. Make the underscribe cut and before removing the clamps place reference mark across both pieces. Apply glue to the second half of the slab and the now cut p-lam. Be care to not get a ridge of contact cement built up along the edge of the first piece. Aply the second piece of p-lam from the seam center outward. Any cc outside the first piece down or on the edges of ethier piece can cause just enough drag on the understribe plate to result in less than perfect cut on the second piece.
It goes without saying that a sharp (read new) router bit and carefull attention to set up is a must.
update...
I finally got one of these, installed on my router it and made a fine seam in a short time.
I recommend it based on this limited experience.
