I saw at my local hardware store today where Bosch diamond blades were 35% off. I was tempted to buy one of the small ones for my grinder to cut some stone this spring. I’ve got some nice colored stone last fall and never got my rock garden made. I had planned on “straightening up” some edges on the rocks to make them fit side by side better in the rock garden. Have any of you folks ever used these blades to cut stone and how did it work out?
Thanks kindly
Paul

paul.. diamond blades in a grinder work great..
but the cut is so machine looking that you might want to use a mason's hammer to chip your edges instead of cutting them..or to rough the edges after you've cut them
also.. there's stone..and then there's stone.. each variety breaks and cuts differently... experiment and have fun..
couple other tools you might like to have.. ( brick supply house is good source )
two lb. masons hammer ( square with a very blunt point , like a giant chisel )
a chipping hammer.. kind of like a hand-held adze..
a mason's chisel.. has about a 6" wide blade..commonly used for scoring and splitting brick
various cold chisels....
and of course.. keep your goggles on too
