Put a Bosch cook top in our house so we could have a very hot cooker. Our house is at 8000 ft, so all gas appliances must be adjusted. Put in the requisite new jets for LPG, but cannot get the burners adjusted. They burn too rich.
The instructions vaguely refer to an adjustment screw (for each burner) which I turn but with no effect. It is quite inaccessible, inside the top, so don’t have a good look at it. Have also opened the pressure regulating valve as much as possible to maximize the air supply.
Other gas appliances work fine, so it isn’t a problem with the incoming gas pressure, and there is a 3/4 in supply line to the top.
Anyone have any thoughts on this. I went to the Bosch website and it was no help. Also had an appliance guy out on another matter and he was no help.
Thanks
Stef

Highest town in Germany is at about 3,000 feet. Maybe Bosch didn't engineer for about high altitude use.
The pressure regulator controls the gas pressure, not the air flow. Sounds to me that you would want less gas if its running rich (sooting). Can the regulator be adjusted?
Rich
When I said pressure regulator I was using the term for lack of a better. On one side of the "regulator" is a sliding valve thru which the combustion air enters. No the regulator per se is not adjustable. The instructions SAY there is an adjustment at the burners, but it don't work for me, or is too difficult to access to be able to make the adjustment. You are correct about less gas. I think that is the purpose of the inaccessible adjustment, to reduce the amount of gas
