Can anyone tell me the difference between the N79 which is sold at HD and the N80 I see everywhere else? I try to make a mental note to look for differences the next time I’m at HD and the other stores but always forget to remember. To many lost brain cells I guess. Thanx cc

CC- Bostich has a whole bunch of diffent nailers, I've got their catalog and will get back to this post w/info later today. Chances are someone will have the info. here before I get back! Later, Ken
*http://www.stanleybostitch.com/Commerce_01/search.aspthe search on N79 says no results.
*Knowing HomeDepot, it's probably some special cheap model Bostich had to build to qualify as the minimum bid supplier for those cheap SOBs.
*CC- Sorry, must have thrown out the Bostitch catalog. And the website above seems to keep spitting back at me. I do know that they make 'industrial' grade nailers as diif. from reg. duty. Maybe try another web search.................Ken
*Yeah the "industrial" is morelikely 81 not 79
*Thanks everyone, The N79 looks like the N 80 and it is probably just a cheaper model. I've been using one for quite a while w/no probs though. Now since I've said that I'm sure it will screw up on me. cc
*go herehttp://www.stanleybostitch.com/Commerce_01/spareparts.asp?ID=N80SBThe N80SB/N79WWand N79RHyou can get to the parts lists by entering N79WW and N79RH and print out the three and compare. Doesn't really answer your question but the usage manual is the same for N80SB/N79WW but there are two pictures on the cover.
*The N80SB only comes with 28 degree wire weld and also has an adjustable exhaust. The N79WW is also 28degree wire weld which use clipped nails. The N79RH is 21 degree plastic collated round head nailer. Toddand
*alot of big store will chance the numbers on a model just so they will not be under sold, The 79 is proberly a 80 with a different tag on it. I bought a 79 from HD but lowes had the 80. To me they are the same gun but I,m new at this.
*Jonnie - Same deal here. Bought the FN 59 15 Gauge Finish nailer at HD for $199ish, from what people have told me it si the same as the FN 60. Whatever. Can anyone confirm or deny that these guns are the same?SJ
*Yeah- Bet that you will NOT find the FN59 in the manuf.'s catalogue! The basic FN60 has been around for awhile, somewhat of a benchmark for finish nailers. Wow. Looks like smoke and mirrors to me!
*On the bostich site the 79 didn't show up on a search, Wen going into parts it showed up.
