Didja get the jet that was on our craigslist? Man I wished I was in a position to buy that when I saw it.
Congrats

That's the one. I offered him $300 and we settled at $330. I'm looking for some accessories now. It is like new.
If you need to borrow it let me know.
I have another small shaper I will be letting go of in the future if you are interested.
The reason I'm letting it go is that I don't have a router bit adaptor for it. I'm not sure if they are available. And it has a 1/2" spindle. You can find shaper cutters with a 1/2" bore.
It is quiet and has some history/collectabilty. Made in Milwaukee.
From what I've read this is the one the oversees companies copied.

Wow, that Delta is extremely cool. If you do decide to let that go, I'd definitely be interested. I'm still recovering from some major tool purchases this past week, or else I'd be ready, cash in hand.
Not a problem. I'm not in a hurry to sell it. We should get together some time over coffee. I'm around College and Drake. I don't have my shop set up in the garage yet but am getting ready.
In your profile it say you are in construction. What kind?
I'm one of those self employed with a pickup and trailer types. I've been focusing on Basement finishes and remodels. Would rather build houses, but you know what that is like right now. I've been in FC for ten years now, and have worked in both commercial and residential. Both in the office and with a tool belt.
Are you working for someone in town?
I'm always ready for coffee.
I'm not working right now. It's a long story. I have a part time job lined up this spring. I'm pretty sure of it.
I'm trying to fix up our house. But it is slow going.
Did you see the shaper in Craigslist? It has come down in price. It looks like the one i have."There are three kinds of men: The one that learns by reading, the few who learn by observation and the rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves."Will Rogers
Here's some pics of the Delta.
I wish I had something like thatI would like to be able to make my own moldingLike chair rail molding or picture frame moldingI think I could make it a lot cheaper than paying retail for it
I only ran a few boards through the Delta but was amazed at how quiet it was. The routers kind of scream where as the Delta is just quiet.
If you look in the pic with the open drawer there are a set of cutters that came with it. They are three wing steel.
The problem with the steel is gets dull pretty quickly on hardwood. But on softer woods they would be fine.
With steel you could grind your own profile as well.
It's a nice little machine. I just wanted a 3/4" spindle and a 1/2" router bit holder which it doesn't have.
