i have a set of pease 36 x 80 double doors w/ oval etched glass, which appear to be solid wood. there appears to be a 3/32 to 1/8 bow in the doors and the finish is shot. the bow runs in the same direction in both doors. my questions are these doors worth saving , can the bow be minimized in any way, how to refinish ? i was unable to contact the manufacture and would appreciate and input .
thanks

That's not a huge bow, particularly since both doors are bowed the same way. Also, I suspect that the shot finish might be in part responsible for the bow. I'd consider refinishing and taking a wait and see attitude.

Normal for solid wood doors.

What is the finish and how and where were they stored or are they hung. If hung then they bowed from differing moisture/thermal gradients on opposite sides of the doors. If bowed from storage then try flipping and storing a bit longer, or on horses with weight (bow upwards, let gravity bow them back). If hanging replace the weatherstripping and adjust the door stops to fit the doors, adding finish nails if needed. The strike plate mortise can be adjusted to let strike itself engage smoother if you have to pull on the door for it to latch, shift it towards the bow a heavy 1/16" or 1/8" if need be. It's what solid wood doors do.
