One story 1960s era house with an addition on block foundation. We added a new sliding door and window, discovered some rot at the base of the original wood siding. In preparation for this fix, I inspected the sill and found it had twisted along a 16’ section. Closer looks revealed the wall had bowed, the settling actually caused the section of the plate to splinter under the force. A cement patio (8’ wide) and crawl space limits access to the foundation…seems like diy is out the window. Hoping someone will tell me otherwise. Thanks for your help!

Might be a good idea to see if you can get an engineer or other qualified person to take a look and provide comment on what is going on, and how it impacts the structure.
