I’m looking at rebuilding a long ago demolished barn. The foundation and slab still exist, set into a slope with driveways above and below. The barn roof was at ground level on the high side and one full face and half of a side were exposed to ground level on the low side of the slope.
The barn dated back to the depression era, more or less and the foundation is concrete in somewhat tough condition.
What might I face in repairing the foundation and building out the last wall and roof, vs excavating the whole thing and pouring new walls?
If that doesn’t cut it, can I use the existing foundation walls as one face of a form and pour a new wall just inside?
This is in New England and full basements are common.
Is there a better sub-forum to ask in? Apologies if I placed this in the wrong location or if it’s a rude question here…

Does not sound like you don't want to "rebuild" a barn as much as you wish to build one! Nothing but a tough-shape foundation exists? Soundlike you should dig a hole and push the cement in and start over. It would be cool to try to replicate what once was there.
I love old barns and wish more people would restore them or atleast keep a good roof on them so they do not go teh way of yours.
wish I owned one to restore!
