The commonly available shower stall around here seems to be Swanstone.
Any other brands of shower pan/ wall and door combinations (preferably Acrylic) that people have had good luck with and leads on where to get them. Thanks.

I just installed one of these and was very impressed. It is Sterling by Kohler and by the time you got the pan, walls, door it was around $600. My only complaint was the the hardware and instructions were not in the shower door box (still factory stapled), kid at Lowes quickly opened another one and handed me the goods when I went to complain. Fortunately job was about 1 1/2 mi from store.
Job was full of disappointments with materials. Kohler shower control did not have the install instructions (a real plumber would not have looked at them any way) and not avail on web site. CS rep e-mailed them to me. Price Pfister lav faucet messed up and Lowes did not stock cartridge, had to get another complete one and take one back. American Std toilet in a box instructions said that it was a 10" rough-in. Placed accordingly and guess what. Not a 10" RI to be had on weekend. Went to local supply (Heavy Duty Tools parent co) and had no problem. Took two customer picked Amer Std toilets back to Lowes.
Forget the big box stores, IMO. Leave your ego at home and go humbly to a plumbing wholesaler, and see if they'll do a cash sale for you.
The last one I installed was Kohler, and it was fine, cleanly manufactured and heavy. Before that was a Florestone, also fine. The last one I installed a shower door unit on was Lasco, and it was flimsy.
Is this a situation where you can get a one-piece unit in?
We have 2 Kohler - Sonata shower stalls that are 48" wide, 1-piece acrylic. Although we've only had them for 1yr+4 days, they seem nice with no seams or puddles.
We have a Corning fiberglass unit in our downstairs bath that's about 25 years old now and still looking good. This isn't the usual one-piece layed-up FG unit, but a 4-piece pressure molded unit, making it good for retrofit.I understand that Corning sold this line of products to someone else, but I forget who.
If ignorance is bliss why aren't more people
happy?
thanks for the feedback.... some delay here on my end.... I'll look into the Sterling Unit by Kohler. Thanks again.
