I seldom get back to my stairways after they are all finished. This time I goofed and had a call back. Seems two of my double twist iron balusters out of 120 had single twists. While I was in the monetany of the whole assembly …..I never caught it. But….the owner did……WHOOPS……
This is the stairway that sat in my shop for a few months waiting on the owner to get other subs out of the way.
Oh well……I was able to post some pictures before I fixed the balusters. Can you guys find which ones?

One wouldn't have blue tape on it, would it?<G> And in d, head of the stairs, balcony?
Hey, it's kinda like the purposeful flaws in oriental carpets, only God can create something perfect.
I really like those stairs, I don't care what anybody else says...LOL
How Ya gonna fix it? Heat it up cherry red and twist some more? (G)

Damm, I miss that stuff
stan...i'm thinking you should build a call-back into every one of your stairs.. so we can admire your work in a finished settingMike Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
Nice work regardless. I hope you're pleased. It's nice to see folks doing good work, still.
Nice work Stan, but I would rather see more chopper pics. stinky
They stick out like sore thumbs...and you put them both on the same side, in the same position, but on runs seperated by a good one. Did you plan it, or was it done on purpose as some puzzle? DaVinci code style or some thing more sinister?
Great looking stairs. How do you go about replacing the balusters, Stan? Can you bend em enough to pop them out without any other disassembly?
Shearwater: I just cut them in half and put the replacement in. It was cut a little shorter so it would go in.
