Trying to finish up a remodel on a 1840’s Charleston Single in Charleston, SC. The homeowners have moved there bedroom into a room that has exposed brick walls. Great looking, but they don’t want the dust that comes from the old brick. Naturally I want to tell them that they live in a 160 yr old house and to deal with it, but that is not the approach I am going to take. Is there any way to seal the mortar and or brick, but retain the natural apperance.
