I can’t find the article about building the burner I saw yesterday. However the holes in the burner was not mentioned in the article. Can anyone tell me what size drill bit they use along the burner for the gas http://grillfaq.com/gas-grill/ to come out for a good blue flame? Thanks

Anywhere from an eight of an inch to a half inch, depending on the design.
You buy the jets with no hole and drill them your self. I suggest you buy the venturis. The hole size is not a matter of guess work. God only knows what you'd get with a half inch orifice. Here is a chart of jet sizes. You only need to know how many BTUs
