Mrs. Cloud Hidden (aka Melanie) just showed me this site: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/buildingbig/lab/shapes.html . It’s a fun site to snoop around in, and it does a great job of showing basics of shapes, loads, materials, forces, etc. Good for terminology like shear forces, torsion, compression, etc. I know y’all know this stuff already, but maybe it can explain something to the less-wise people you might hang with.
