What is the best or should I say quuickest or least expensive method for creating graceful semi-arched doorways that are so popular? The materials to use is not the problem. The layout of the arch and cutting of the arch is the trick. I have four doorways of varying widths. They are in a home with 9 foot ceilings and the R.O. Ht. is 7′-8″,so I have some play. Should I make a template on the floor. Add a router to large home made compass? Use a Rotozip or a jig saw for the arch cut? Do I need to wrap the bottom of the arch with plywood or OSB? The openings will be finished with drywall. No trim as of yet!
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
