Hi,
I have a recently built wood frame 2-story office building that had two layers of sub-floor installed over hanging trusses. Commericial carpeting was glued to the sub-floor. In the summer I think the building shrinks or something is going on that the carpet bubbles up at each 8 foot plywood seam. It is most apparent in the long narrow hallways where there is no heavy furniture etc. In the winter it is not as bad.
Summers are generally humid here and winters cold (wisconsin).
The building has central air on both floors.
I have talked with the contractor, architect, flooring people and none have a clue what is happening.
We have cut and re-glued carpeting only to have it happen again the next year.
I am getting desparate. Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks,
Stevo
