Love seeing nature inside the house, now the question is, does it really work?
To do something like this, anyone has done it before? What should I have in consideration when building, do I need a water drainer?

I've seen this done in several homes. It's fairly simple but the details depend on your climate and how you want to landscape it. Essentially you are building an atrium, with or without a roof. Drainage is the same as for any outdoor area, or a wet area such as a walk in shower
Of the ones I've seen my favorite was fairly small, not more than eight feet on a side, and it was built as a feature in a larger room. All sides were glass, one side a door, and it was open to the sky. It was in a cold climate so sometimes there would be snow on the ground. The plantings were simple, and it gave the room the quiet feeling of a zen garden.
I’ve built only one and it was years ago. It was built right in the center of the home, so all main living areas surrounded it. It housed tropical plants and had a small pond/waterfall. For the roof we installed commercial style skylights one with a ventilating function. The walls were all glass and the floor was heated with radiant. There was no cooling as the plants were tropical. We did install a ventilator that was connected to a humidistat to keep moisture under control. Floor was built like a shower pan. All waterproof materials used inside as it’s a wet environment. For the pond and waterfall a landscaping company used hay bails and wrapped pond liner over that. Was a very cool project, but comes at a hefty price.

Nice.
I like your idea.
I like your thought. I'm pondering the structure of a nursery inside my home and for that, I am looking for thoughts on the web. Much obliged for the connection.
