Any sources particularly books that list standards, dimensions for buildings. I had a housing book that listed counter height, desk heights and epths and other dimensions associated with construction. Does anyone have any suggestions? Skip

jeez Skip.....is this for you, or normal height people?..uh ohh...I think I heard my mum call me..
*Ouch!!
*For many, many years I've used "Building Construction Illustrated" by Francis D. K. Ching, Van Notrand Reinhold, (c) 1975."...practical introduction to the basic principles of building construction that illustrates how a building goes together, describes its major physical components, and presents the material options available to the designer and builder and the factors to be considered in their selection."
*"Architectural Graphic Standards", published by John Wiley is the big one (and the best as far as I know), however, maybe pricey and too much info, depending on what you are doing."Graphic Guide to Frame Construction" and "Graphic Guide to Interior Details" both by Rob Thallon and published by Tauton and really good values. Easy to read too.As mentioned above, "Building Construction Illustrated" by Francis Ching is also quite good.
*Personally I just have all that stuff commited to memory.... (just kidding)
*Arch. Graphic Standards... any edition..(i have 6 & 7)..another is Timesaver Standards...both used to be the basic reference standards for architecture...
*Lowes have one called "visual buiding and remodeling" thats pretty good
*Thanks for the info. Have been looking for Arch Graphics Standards in used book stores for several years. Loaded with every thing. Will check out the other titles. Much thanks, Skip
