Some pictures of a built-in desk area I’m building for my wife and myself. All of the cabinets were made with 3/4″ sheets of plywood and biscuit joints and poplar trim. The desk tops are two sloid core doors I got from Lowe’s. Nothing fancy, just a lot cheaper to build it myself than purchase from Ikea or the similar.
Not completely finished–still need to install the trim on the bottom cabinets and paint everything.

Looks pretty sharp. The rolling computer tray is a nice touch.
Looks good - and at a good price - what's not to like!
Thanks for the inspiration - that's the next project for me, but I keep finding other things to do, maybe this will get me going.
One question: what is your plan for cooling the computer area?
I did something simialr a while back....I should have done the CPU slide-out...cool.
If you are going to put the PC tower behind a door in a closed cab, be sure to vent it.
I have seen small vent fan units for sale by some of the cab supply houses.
Please show us some pics of the completed work, including details.
