i'd shop... might find an agency that can package your commercial auto, GL, umbrella
and reduce your overall rates
look for an agency that specializes in contractors
Yeah, I agree with Mike, shop it.
However, last year when I tried to find someone who would upgrade my policy to a higher coverage amount, I really had trouble finding someone. All the agents told me they don't like writing policies for one man shows who sub out their work as the liability from the subs is too much risk.
Not sure how accurate that was but when I did find someone, my annual premium is quite high!

Hey old blue.
I'm over on the other side of the river and getting ready to shop my policy.
I have Harleysville right now and they have been fine but I now need commercial auto and need to make sure I am getting the best bang for my buck.
I know state to state can vary but we might be able to share info.

no umbrella
no tool coverage
no office coverage
this agency put it all under one carrier and my savings the first year was about $5k....( about 1/3 ) we were doing about $500 K volume then and i had about 4 guysMike Hussein Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
I'm adding auto and re-bidding the whole thing as a package.
I will be going back to my current carrier and see if they have the best program or not.
I'm ok with them as long as they are a good value and there is only one way to find out.
