Hi,
We are currently doing a total remodel and have a new construction coming up (residential) and we were wondering has anyone out there used butthangers for drywall butt seams? If you have would you use them again? Is there another product out there that does the same thing? Thank you for your replies.

Alternative at http://www.butttaper.com
Go to Advanced Search on the upper left of the screen where the messages are, Try searching Butt Joints, Butt Joint hangers, been a lot of discussion over it here, you might find something usefull there
Good luck
Butthangers?? We usually call the sheetrockers or drywall installers.

Ya know, I was trying to find that website once. Couldn't remember the exact name - Types in buttmaster.com by mistake.
Boy, was *I* wrong..................(sheepish grin)
Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Unless he doesn't like sushi - then you also have to teach him to cook.
Also, try Prest-On (they make 2 diff. types). One for butt joints and another for "corners".

Hi,
Thank you all for the quick response and great information. I have researched your suggestions and with the information we recieved it is clear that there are several very good options to use on butt joints. We have decided to float the butt joints between studs/ joists and try out the various methods of backers.
Thank You all and may God bless
Dave
