I recently purchased a large number fo cabinets from a company. As I was installing them i noted that alot of the carcass construction was fairly poor, ie nails shot completely through the frame, gaps in plywood, out of square frames. I was able to fix most of the issues but now I have concern that the tops of the cabinets are not planar. They are leveled and plumb, but where the parts of the face and carcass meet differ in height. We will be installing quartz countertops and I am unsure if I should do anything to rectify this issue.

Contact your counter top installer and ask what they suggest.
I would think the tops can be shimmed into submission. question is how far apart, and if the counter top installer would prefer to take care of this at install time.
Thanks. That's what I was thinking as well. Is this common for purchased cabinets? Kind of frustrating as I didn't build them myself as I thought the quality would be better. Guess i was wrong.
