What do you use? I’m looking for something to print plans for small remodels / decks and such. You know, the little stuff. I’d prefer a program that is cheap or free. Any ideas?

I started with TurboCad, big mistake. Had to upgrade to AutoCad LT. You can get it legit at computer fairs for as little as $350.
No matter how hard you try to imagine how much Cad work you're going to do, you'll vastly underestimate. The stuff is addictive. So start with a real tool, and you won't have to unlearn and re-learn.

But like John said, we've just rehashed this item here and if you invest in a good program, it'll be worth your time. But a free one can let yuou get your feet wet.
