finally captured the pics from Helen’s new camera… showed her how to download into her computer and she emailed them to me….
the weekend after Katrina, the annual Rythm & Blues Fest was in South County at Ninegret Park..
my roofing salesman is the biggest draw , after the music…… he has the only Cajun Food venue in the place…
must be 100 vendors there, and three live bands going all day and night for 3 days/nights…
here’s Helen with her cajun bucks ready to step up and order..
Kenny’s at the counter… guess what?.. he wouldn’t take her money… brought us around back and served up some great gumbo
here’s Kenny stirring the gumbo.. 7th batch that day ( it’s only 2pm )
and me , spelling him

the line for Chile Brothers was only about twenty deep when we got there.. and hour later it was a block long.. and stayed that way ustil we left
here's the line
and another Rhode Island landmark.. Del's Frozen Lemonade
here's one of the dance tents with the live band
this was pretty cool.. the beer distributor offered to match all donations that day.. so my $50 turned into $100

almost every band member ( about 15 bands ) had family in bayou country... so they got a great response to the Katrina Relief from the music lovers

It would have been better to have seen yall dancing.
Wonder whats the deal with the pretty girl in the cowboy boots?
They look like her brothers.
Tim
most of 'em wait all year to wear their outfits.. so, borrowing her brother's boots would be a small item

Steve Riley plays out west here too. We have a weekly Cajun dance in town at the Eagles Hall, quite a scene. We couldn't quite get that two-step down though, can't keep our hips still. Always a good group of people at those shows. Mike
