If I want to use pressure treated wood as door jamb extensions under a covered porch, can the PT wood be painted so as to match the rest of the door when it gets painted?

I am under the impression that kiln dried pt wood can be painted, actually some places sell it primed, 3" t and g primed pressure treated flooring, never used it but will soon
Generally pt or ACQ wood while treated will still contain significant moisture. As this outgases from the wood it will tend to lift against any paint and cause peeling. If you know that it is already dry, by age or by moisturemeter, then it will paint fine. Either scrounge a dry board, dry one yourself or install but paint down the road when it is dry.
Yes, so long as it is dry and the surface is sanded to remove loose material and weathered wood. Water based primers and paints are more forgiving.
When I'm doing a project with pressure treated wood that has to be painted and fit well, I buy the wood many weeks ahead from a lumberyard that stores the wood under cover, and air dry it in my shop before working it.
