Can you glue a wood veneer strip to ready patch?
Hey all,
We have a filler panel that’s gotten a design change. Originally we had a little stubbed in false front to the left of the dishwasher, but the client would like it changed to being on the flat like the horizontal piece above the dishwasher. All I need to do is scribe on a piece of oak veneer, but we have some big gap there between the end panel and the wall. If I fill the voids with ready patch, can I glue a veneer strip to it? It would land 3/4 on oak, roughly 1/4 of the surface area on ready patch. What would be the best glue?
Also, when I say veneer, the whole job is just a very thin strips of oak, nothing paper backed.

Could you post a picture back away a bit?
And what is that small pc on the end? Rail chunk to fill a void?
Ready patch is not going to take glue well unless it is primed first.
Hi pgconstruct, you can adhere a wood veneer strip to a ready patch using wood glue. Ensure the patch is clean and dry, apply an even layer of glue on both surfaces, press the veneer firmly onto the patch, and let it dry. Sand for a seamless finish. Enjoy your enhanced

I hope this will work.
