Has anyone ever made their own canvas floor cloths? I’m looking on information about what weight canvas to use, what type of primer, and what type of paint. Also, a good source for supplies.
Thanks!

Looks like most of the supplies are easily found at your local hardware and artist supply store :)
Canvas may be found or ordered from a fabric store, or a marine supply store, for larger seamless pieces.

Ground cloths as theyre called, are used frequently in stage theater productions. The Floor treatment can be fabricated off site and installed in a brief amount of time. Theatrical supply houses can get you appropriate sizes. I'm guessing a floor paint will be durable, but do some research to see if they work on a cloth surface. However I'm thinking, that keeping it clean would pose a formidable challenge.
You varnish it to keep it clean.
Canvas. If large area you can get sail cloth from suppliers to the boat trade. "They" say that you can use latex. If it were me, I'd use oil. Couple coats of varnish. Will stiffen it somewhat and make it cleanable.
