Hello All,
I would like to learn more about the Cape Cod style of house – what architectural details are common, what decorating style is in keeping with the style of the architecture? etc. Types of floors, curtains, etc. other details common to the style.
Can any of you experts help me out?

Do you mean a post-WW II Cape or a historic Cape? A good source for the historic Cape is a book called "A Field Guide to American Houses" - it's a comprehensive study of American housing types from the pre-colonial to modern period.
If your interest is stricly in the modern period as oppsed to the hsitoric precedents, then I'd look for books about and architect named Royal Barry Wills, who praticed in the Northeast in the mid-20th century. He's considered the master of the modern version of the Cape Cod style.
Taunton Publications put out a book on Cape Cod houses that really helped me figure out what i wanted in my house and what features i really loved on Capes. Very interesting book. Do a search on Amazon and you will find it easily.
