Hi,
Has anyone out there used a product called Carbonic heat from Korea? It’s like Nuheat, but appears to be thinner and perhaps easier to install. There’s a good price for a bunch on Craigslist where I live, about 1.50 a square foot.
Any experience that I can draw on about thisThis? It sounds pretty good from their website but ther is limited information on the site. I live in Canada and there are no distributors up here yet…
Thanks
Celete

Well, the "far infrared"
Well, the "far infrared" thing is a scam. Any warm object generates far infrared, so this product is no different from other radiant floor products that achieve the same temperature. And the thing about reducing energy expenses is also BS -- any zoned system is cheaper to operate than the equivalent whole-house with the same technology, and all electric resistance heating uses the same amount of energy per BTU.
They don't say (that I can see) how many watts or BTUs you can get per square foot, and it may well be that the system doesn't put out enough heat for many uses.
But I haven't reviewed sites for other technologies, so it's hard to say whether any of this stands out as a real red flag or not.
By the way, it's not generally necessary to make multiple posts in multiple forums. Most people use the "Recent Posts" option and see all new posts.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the info about the product and about how these posts work! I'll do some more foot work before I decide to buy..
