Hello there,
A friend wants me to build him a floating cedar deck for the rooftop in the attached picture.
Does anyone have some sugesstions for this project as it relates to sleepers, padding, etc….

Friday we get off West 25th st for the opener.
With torch down I'm going to defer to a roofer. My concern would be whatever you put down "glueing itself" down to the roofing.
With rubber we've laid sleepers on top of strips of rubber or stacked rubber shims when necessary.
If the surface was flat, I've made up individual squares (2'x2') of decking and laid them checkerboard so they could be removed for cleaning.
I'll email a good roofer and ask him to take a look at your post.
