I’m going to be installing cedar shingles on a new dormer and I remember that I read an article on installation in a recent issue of Fine Homebuilding. I’ve looked in my issues and used the on-line index but still no luck. Does anyone recall the article and issue? Thanks

Tim, see issue #102, April/May of '96. Remember when you see the article... red chalk is permanent, cover your lines or use removable blue.
And yes, chalk can bleed through the stain, so be forewarned.
