Last night I was reframing in attic and lifted a 2×6 attached to top plate, 2×3. Ceiling below was nailed to this 2×6 directly (no strapping) . I now have divits in the plaster board/blue board and I want to stabilize the plaster/blue board from above. I can see ceiling paint below is mildly cracked in some divit locations. Is there some kind of glue or liquid that I can pour in these small craters to prevent any more damage. Kevin

screw the drywall back into the joist from below, btw .. the joists are attached to the top plate for a reason, you re-attached it after .. right?
No. I just need to stabilize the plaster board that is disrupted where the nail pulled out. The sheet itself is not moving. And at the moment the skim coat is still intact. I just want to fill the disrupted area of the plasterboard from the attic. So the skimcoat will stay intact.
